BMJ Cover

Crikey, 5 months since my last post! It's been far too long, but what better way to come back than with a shiny new cover illustration for the BMJ. This was a quick turnaround (less than 24hrs), but I really enjoyed this one, it's right up my street,  and there is nothing quite like a deadline for getting work done. A big thank you as usual to John and Jane :-)

Bee/Smoking jacket/Pipe

I have been busy getting ready for the Brighton Artist Open Houses which open to the public every weekend in may - another blog post on that soon. Above is an example of just one of the lovely things you can buy! This is one of my latest miniature acrylic paintings, 8cm x 6cm.

Magic Bullet

Happy 2013! It's been a while since my last post, but I'm still here and still painting! Above is the latest commission for the BMJ - "Monoclonal antibodies: magic bullets with a hefty price tag".

On a completely different note, Mr Fox (below) was painted as a Christmas gift for a family member. I love detail, so this painting was right up my street and the recipient loves it too! Approx 10cm.

This month John and Jane from the BMJ kindly let me loose on the front cover! Woohoo! This really made my bank holiday weekend, so thanks guys!

POST LONG OVERDUE

Apologies for the lack of blogging lately - I have been busy preparing for the Brighton Open Houses due to open up in May, but I'll blog about that in the near future...

Here is my latest illustration for the BMJ, and again a big thank you to John and Jane for the work and support.

British Medical Journal

Long time no post, but I'm still here! I have been a busy bee as you can see from the image posted above. This was a recent commission for the November edition of the British Medical Journal. A big thank you to John and Jane for their help and having a little faith :-)

King Kong goes to London

This commissioned painting was completed a few months ago, but I've only just got round to sorting out the photos. It is about A2 in size and was painted using acrylics - my usual medium of choice.
